GIZ Lab of Tomorrow
6 March 2018 - partnerships

Developing business models to address development challenges

The lab of tomorrow fosters the development of new business model-driven solutions for specific challenges affecting developing and emerging countries. It matches representatives of European and in-country companies, customers, specialists and political partners to develop business models for sustainable development in a co-creative innovation process. With support of the lab of tomorrow, the innovative business models are tested and piloted in the partner country.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, this new approach for private sector engagement in international development cooperation has been designed by the GIZ. Until now, five lab of tomorrow processes have been implemented and guided by Impact Hub Berlin.
